Is this Asian Food Chain The Next McDonald's? They're Growing Faster and Coming to America
They're the most famous food chain in their country, and most people have never heard of them.
Two weeks ago I made an online presentation to hundreds of international investors while I was in a yurt.
I’m used to making live presentations with realtime audience feedback, so this virtual format felt weird. Did the audience understand what I was sharing with them? Were they thrown off by my hippy-dwelling backdrop?
Well, according to the event organizer, Swen Lorenz, my presentation was a standout during the 12 hour event.
What you’ll read below is a full explanation, including the original slides, from my presentation at that event.
This is similar (but much better) to a recent post I published back in May, where I highlighted three Asian food chains that are trading at deep value multiples. One of those companies was YUMC 0.00%↑ , which is up over 10% over the past month.
This new company I’m sharing with you is not in China. In fact, the vast majority of their past and future growth has nothing to do with China at all.
Even more interesting, this company has been punished over the past couple of years and is now trading at 2013 levels despite MUCH better financials and future outlooks.
Furthermore, the company is still majority owned by the founding family and they have recently announced a spinoff that could end up being extremely lucrative.
This spinoff will enable current shareholders to receive brand new shares in a new entity that has the same business model as McDonald’s, but is growing much faster.
Let’s dive in…
The majority of what I publish is free and is based on the research I do for the fund that I manage. For example, just read what I published earlier this week about Indonesia:
Several times a month I do a deep dive on a specific investment opportunity that takes me days to put together, and is only available to paying subscribers.
I’ve been told several times this week that what I charge for an annual subscription is ridiculously cheap, which is why I’m going to up the cost significantly in the future.
